A deep-dive into all of the production template functionality
A production template defines all of data that you want to collect for every instance of the component. Every unique identifier will upload specific data following this template. The template consists of three primary components:
A process sequence is a list of manufacturing steps to make a component. It is recommended to only include a manufacturing step in your sequence if you are collecting data.
An assembly tree is a list of all unique identifiers that were assembled together to make a component.
Part numbers in serial are the same as part numbers you may use on your 2D drawings or PLM software. You can associate multiple part numbers that follow the same manufacturing process to single component. This way you only have to maintain a single process sequence.
